Pink background painting design ideas

Virginia Toledo and Jessica Geller designed this picturesque owner’s retreat for House Beautiful‘s Whole Home 2021. The unlikely pairings of fabrics and warm colors create a one-of-a-kind bedroom that mixes rose and earth tones. The whitewashed vaulted ceilings and beams draw eyes up, accentuating the room’s height and making it feel even airier. The burgundy bench and matching curtains ground the dusty rose pink of the bed, and the mustard-hued walls bring out the warmth of the wood ceilings.

If you’ve ever wondered, “What goes with pink,” you’re in the right place! Pink is a mood-boosting no one can deny the power of, from fashion to interior design. The color successfully trends and sweeps over popular culture for huge moments like the millennial pink obsession to the never-ending Barbie takeover (it’s Barbie’s world and we’re just living in it). Outside of trends, pink is surprisingly versatile enough to become a staple in your design choices, serving as an alluring neutral or showstopping focal point.

When considering what colors to bring in your space, pink might seem intimidating but we have proof that this versatile hue can change your space for the better. Pink can complement almost every color depending on what shade is applied. Whether it’s a dusty rose hue for an intimate dining room setting or a vibrant magenta to support movie night marathons, there are endless ways to incorporate pink into your color scheme.

To help you add color to your space without flipping your aesthetic upside down, we found the designers who prove any room can do well with a splash of pink. Below, you’ll find pink accent walls, a pink so soft you’ll peer close to admire the color, a jaw-dropping bathroom decked head to toe in pink tile, and so much more. Learn why designers are obsessing over pink and how you can choose the winning combination that fits into your aesthetic. It’s time to make a statement!

Tone down the sweetness of pink with a deep navy blue or dark teal. It’ll keep things from feeling too frilly and light. In this Whole Home room designed by Duval, the blush pink close goes beautifully with the slate blue and copper accents. The paint

Interior designer Janie Molster says there’s no such thing as too much pink—especially when it’s emboldened by red and white striped furniture. The black and white curtains are sheer and filter in the sun. But if you just want to dabble in the bright color, start by painting a smaller area in your home, like in a pretty window nook and pairing it with a magenta and white rug. It gives a bit of a romantic glow without feeling like you painted the walls with bubblegum.

Pink Canvas Wall Art: Size Guide

Stumped on which size canvas to choose? Follow these tips from our Ultimate Wall Art Size Guide: Your wall art should take about 60% to 75% of the available empty wall space, the portion not covered by moldings or furniture. Measure the height and width of the wall. Now, multiply the measurements by both 0.6 and 0.75. As a result, you will get the range of canvas print sizes to suit the space. For instance, if your blank wall is 9 feet tall and 5 feet wide, multiply 9 by 0.6 to get the low end of the ideal height range. Then multiply 9 by 0.75 to get the high end of the ideal height range. Do the same for your wall’s 5 feet width. The ideal height of the canvas would be 5.4 feet – 6.75 feet and the ideal width would be 3 feet – 3.75 feet.
