Ranunculus Painting

I developed my own drawing technique – sculptural painting, with the help of which it became possible to show the beauty of a flower not just on a plane, my flowers have volume and seem to strive to leave the picture, revealing their unfading beauty to our world. With the help of a palette knife and plaster designed specifically for sculptural painting, I strive to capture a brief moment in the life of flowers, keeping them alive for centuries. The material I use is very durable, do not be afraid to damage the painting, dust can be easily removed with a brush or vacuum cleaner. Each of my paintings is unique, it is impossible to make two identical flowers. When creating them, I immediately select the color of the petal, and do not paint the flower after completion, this process is simultaneously exciting and soothing, while working on the picture I plunge into the world of creation and put a piece of my soul into it.

My name is Evgeniia Ermilova I was born in Russia, in Grozny city, but the war forced us to move to Ivanovo city, where I graduated from an Art College and a Textile Academy as an artist and fashion designer. Creativity has been in my blood all my life, I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. All my classes have always been associated with creativity, web design, making handmade interior items, and for the last 5 years, I have been working on a new technique, which I have developed myself and called a sculptural painting. Using decorative plaster, I create volumetric elements in the picture, most often flowers, birds, and animals. Sculptural painting originated from the bas-relief, also the impetus was the acquaintance with the works of the artist Justin Jeffrey, it was his early works that influenced my work, but over time, my sculptural painting evolved into an independent, incomparable technique. I draw inspiration from nature, I strive to convey its beauty not just on the plane, but in volume. My flowers are almost real, but their beauty will never fade. My dream is for a sculptural painting to become a part of art so that as many people as possible know about its existence. Now I teach my technique, I constantly travel with master classes around the world. Over the past 3 years, I have conducted master classes, presentations of artworks, and exhibitions in Russia, Estonia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, India, Indonesia, Germany. I work a lot and my paintings are in private collections around the World. I am the founder of a brand of materials for drawing in the technique of sculptural painting Evgenia Ermilova™, whose products are exported to 29 countries, online schools where everyone can learn to draw voluminous flowers, an Instagram blogger with 190,000 subscribers
