Chickadee Acrylic Palette Knife Painting – Day 1 of 30 paintings in 30 days
I started a bird series last month, a little practice run before doing the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. At the time, I thought I would paint birds for the entire 30 days, but after finishing 4 of them, I thought, do I really want to paint only birds for 30 days. I decided against it. I have three new series started, and I need the freedom to work in whichever I choose at the moment. So my theme is now birds, flowers, and other still life painted with palette knives.

These series will be ongoing, and I have set up a shop just for my new palette knife paintings. You can see the entire series there. Isn’t it pretty? I’m quite pleased with my new work, and want to continue on in this direction. How many birds will I end up painting before I’m done? I would tell you, but I’m sorry, I can’t count that high yet. I’m sure there will be many.
