Step-by-Step Painting Tutorial | How to Paint a Flamingo on Canvas
I have serious flamingo fever. I painted this flamingo on a porch leaner recently and it was so popular that I decided to also paint it on canvas! This painting is super easy to do and a ton of fun. It’s also perfect for your summer décor.

Paint your Canvas Black
You can choose any size canvas you want for this painting, just paint it black first. A black background really makes the pink of the flamingo and flowers and green leaves POP!
Don’t be scared, this flamingo is super easy to freehand. Plus, I walk you through step-by-step! To get the perfect flamingo pink I mix DecoArt Royal Fuschia with white. I even use this for the hibiscus! You can even paint the flamingo along with me in the video below.
Paint the Flowers and Leaves
To paint your hibiscus just make a tight letter C, then do another in the middle of that one. Keep adding on petals and you will have your hibiscus. Then just fill them in with paint. It is SUPER simple! I just use a bright green for the leaves.
This is such an important step. This is what is going make your painting GREAT. I use white paint and black paint to add the details and shading. It really gives your painting that little bit of extra it needs.

Standard shipping delivers in 3 to 6 business days (Monday through Friday) and includes fulfillment time. Expedited orders must be placed by 12 PM CST to ship same business day. Add one business day to delivery time shown for orders placed after 12 PM CST. All expedited orders placed Friday after 1 PM and all day on Saturday and Sunday will ship on Monday.
