What Makes Paint and Sip a Fun Girls’ Night Out?

Having a girls’ night out is one of the best ways to bond with the ladies and treat yourselves to something special like a bottle of wine, a couple of pizzas, and perhaps a movie. Anything can be fun if you’re among people you love and the atmosphere is right.

While a normal night in can make for a great evening with the ladies, an unusual activity and a night out on the town can make for some great stories to tell later on. If you and your girlfriends are looking for a different way to spend your next scheduled meetup, consider a paint and sip party!

What Is a Girls’ Night Out Paint and Sip?

A paint and sip always comes with a clean slate, a laid back, lowkey environment, and a glass half-full! Your following ladies night out can be an intimate paint and drink party, where you and your pals can let your best selves shine. Just look for a space like ours that provides a relaxed atmosphere, painting materials, and step-by-step lessons. All you need to do is show up with your closest friends, favorite drinks, and food!

Why Is Paint and Sip Such a Great Way to Spend an Evening?

There is much needless tension in life. Most adults always have a lot on their plates from family, work, and simply being an adult. It’s no surprise that making time for self-care is essential. What better way to pamper yourself than to organise a ladies night out with your girlfriends?

You don’t have to settle with ridesharing to the local bar or re-watching that ’90s chick movie for the 100th time while searching for things to do for ladies night! You may spend quality time with your pals without becoming bored with the same old ladies’ night-out ideas. Paint and sip events are ideal for your group as wine, creativity, laughter, and friends are all you need for a memorable girls’ night.

What Can You Paint on a Girls’ Night Out?

Each painting studio offers a variety of one-of-a-kind painting activities! Our Gold Coast and Brisbane studios both come with plenty of options ranging from scenery and animals to abstract art and—if you’re feeling a little cheeky—nude male painting. An experienced artist will be there to guide you every step of the way, and Piccaso-type skills are completely unnecessary!

The best part of paint and sip sessions is that you’ll live, laugh, and enjoy every stroke. After all, laughing is your one-step skincare regimen on ladies night. Is there any better balance than a glass of your favorite red in one hand and a paintbrush in the other?

But I’m Not a Good Painter!

So you like having fun, hanging out with your pals, and avoiding the expensive bar tab—but you’re afraid because you’re not a skilled artist? Don’t worry—the majority of those going to paint and sip parties have little-to-no painting experience. And art is subjective!

Paint and sips are not about creating a piece of art worthy of a museum or outdoing your girlfriends. It’s all about having a good time, creating memories, and having long-overdue conversations. Give it a go. Who knows, while you’re at it, you may even find you have a secret artistic ability!

Every night may be a memorable ladies’ night out! What is important is that it is a fun-filled, party environment where you and your friends may chat, laugh, paint, and drink. You don’t need any art expertise to participate in paint and sip—our skilled local artists will lead you step-by-step through the ladies’ night painting!

Social Artworking Paint and Sip Party

I do love a good girls night in every once in awhile… sure I love to go out too, but sometimes you’re just in the mood to netflix and chill with a good girlfriend. Well for this girls night in it was more like netflix and chill, paint and sip! We all had so much fun at my last paint party that I thought it would be a fun thing to do just hanging out with my friend Maria.

I fell in love with the Tropical Leaves painting when I saw it on the Social Artworking site… it’s so perfect for summer, right?!

Have you ever had a Social Artworking party? They’re crazy fun! But doing some painting with a friend or even solo is fun in a whole different way… there’s virtually no preparation involved and you can do the painting in your own time (in between snacks, sips or Netflix binges ). At various times throughout our painting we were on different steps but that was just fine.

Here’s where Social Artowrking is so much easier than any paint party or class you’ve been to… every kit has INCREDIBLY detailed instructions and you have an outline of the design on the canvas before you start painting! This makes it easy even for non-painter-y types like me. Here’s how easy it is:

Have Your Own Paint and Sip Girls Night In!

1. Trace and transfer the pattern onto canvas. Now you have the blue print for the entire painting!

2. Cover the surface you will be painting on with craft paper or a disposable tablecloth. Set up easels, canvases and lay out the instructions, paint brushes, cups with water (for rinsing brushes in between steps), paper towels and the paint. I found the best palette ever – a deviled egg tray from the dollar store! There are wells for all of the paint colors and extras for paint mixing. Gotta love a good Dollar Tree craft hack.

I had leftover fringe from my Easter treat bags that I taped around the water cups perfectly to bring a little luau inside.

3. Don’t forget the sips! More craft leftovers from my Flamingle summer party last year for our cocktail straws. Sometimes it pays to be a semi-hoarder!

4. Next just follow the instructions step-by-step and create your masterpiece!
