Some of the very talented artists have adopted face painting as their career, other do it as a hobby. There are infinite face painting ideas which are equally original, fun and exciting.

Learning how to face paint is truly a valuable skill and is a great way to make some extra money for your family. The first step to starting your face painting business is to learn how to paint! Duh! =)
We all have to start somewhere (you should have seen some of my first face paint designs, sheesh)! But don’t despair! All it takes is some dedicated practice and you’ll be painting like a face painting all-star in no time! Once you build a little confidence, you’ll be ready to take your new skills to festivals, birthday parties, and many other events.

Face Painting Ideas 1: Bunny
Painted teeth and whiskers can make the bunny costume even more interesting.
- Using a sponge spread the white paint, covering the lower cheeks, nose and the area of forehead above the eyes.
- Draw arches above the eyes and highlight the lower cheeks and nose with pink paint.
- Using black paint, add the whiskers and detail the lips. Add two rabbit teeth with white paint on the lower lip.
Face Painting Ideas 2: Vampire
This face paint along with painted fangs can go incredibly well with your vampire costume on Halloween.
- Paint the entire face light grey by a sponge.
- Add a little black paint on the sponge and blend it around the eye sockets. Use the sponge to dab some paint over the center of forehead and around the mouth.
- Stroke the eyebrow lines using black paint and draw 2 fangs, each descending from the 2 corners of the lower lip.
- Paint the lips red and add details.
Face Painting Ideas 3: Butterfly
Cute butterfly face paint gives a feminine touch. Glittery highlight and dotted pattern makes the fluttery wings look fabulous.
- Using sponge paint pink wings on the face starting from forehead to the lower part of cheeks.
- Highlight the upper outlines with thin brush and the lower ones with thick brush, using black paint.
- Add the antenna on forehead and body on the nose.
- Add white dots along the border to create a pattern and add swirls in the lower wings.
- Paint the lips red and add glitter to highlight the cheekbones.
We had bubbles and balloons modelling for our terminally ill sons birthday on Sunday. I could have cried watching him . and his little friends and the sheer joy that this bought to them. I have never seen Noah get so stuck in to anything but even managed to do the bubble wand on his own! It was truly magical! I’m not sure actually who enjoyed it the most, the children or the adults! My 11 year old god son said “this is amazing, I feel like a 3 year old again!”. Great customer service and Cheryl was lovely. Can’t wait to use little party heaven again! Helen and Helen came to our summer BBQ to do balloon modelling and face painting. What amazing ladies they are – such . a wonderful way with the young people and patient with them. The balloon models and face paint looked amazing and there was a constant que for their services. Both ladies stayed till all young people who wanted balloons and face painting had had them done.
