Surpaints get 5 stars!!
I love my Surfpaints. Started with the primary set and quickly realized I needed them all so ordered the starter kit. Have been playing with them but have some projects in the works I can’t wait to complete and share. The quality is excellent and the coverage amazing. I have used them on a mural on a concrete stucco wall. challenging and hard on the nibs but ordering more. I also appreciate the customer service and community of artists engaged with them.
The photos are of a fish a did, and my daughter and her boyfriend doing theirs. love that it’s a family fun project and everyone finds them easy to use.
My only complaint is. Need more colors!!

Great product.
Until now I’ve mostly used Posca brand pens and can say that Surf paint pens are superior in flow-ability. There’s nothing worse than the paint failing to flow halfway through a line, which happens frequently with the other brand. So far the Surf pens haven’t let me down. It would be even better if they came in smaller that 4mm sizes as well.

Painting wooden blocks.
I used this set to paint refurbished wooden blocks for a toddlers trolley.
The solid colours red ,green, yellow and blue worked beautifully, the white not so well, several coats needed and ran out of white but overall very happy with the Surf Paints.

Versatile!
Love the added versatility of having acrylic paint pens to use alongside my acrylic paints. Fine lines with consistent coverage are easily achieved with these pens. They’re great on porous surfaces. I paint on live edge spruce and cedar planks most often. I find them difficult to control on non-porous surfaces, especially if the canvas is upright rather than lying flat. They tend to bleed but that could just be my inexperience. I like that the nibs can be switched from wide to fine line. The attached picture was created using acrylic paints in combination with the surfpaints in regular and pastel colours. I’d eventually like to get the metallics and the neons as well. The case is also handy and well made, although the pens don’t necessarily stay strapped under the elastic bands. Maybe individual sleeves for each pen would work better but would probably be more costly to fabricate. It works well enough as-is for me. 4.5 stars!

Uni Posca Paint Markers
POSCA pens are unmistakable with their colourful caps and iconic logo.
Chances are if you think of a paint marker one of these iconic pens comes to mind. Sometimes used as a byword for paint pens, the Posca paint pen is rightly well known and well loved.
