How to Draw Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer face
This year, I thought I’d add multiple Christmas drawing tutorials.
All of these Christmas drawing ideas are for beginners.
I’ve already done a lot of tutorials on drawing cute and kawaii animals that you can check out here.
Let’s begin with our favorite reindeer – in this tutorial, I’ll teach you how to draw Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer’s face and you’ll get something like this:

I am currently using an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to create my digital art.
But you can use any tool – a pen and paper or color pencils or Copic markers or Photoshop because the drawing method remains the same.
How to draw a Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer – Step by step for beginners and kids
We are going to be using very simple shapes for this drawing tutorial.
Let’s begin with a small curved line like this:
That’s going to be Rudolph’s head.
Next, let’s draw the bottom part of his face – just draw a big bell shape.
Next, we are going to draw Rudolph’s famous antlers.
Let’s draw 2 curves on either side of Rudolph’s face like this:
Now, we’ll complete drawing the antlers by drawing simple curves like this:
Then, we’ll draw 1 small pointy ears on the side of Rudolph’s face right under the antlers like this:
And now for the face!
Draw 2 eyes, a round nose and a small U shaped smile this:
I’m making this Rudolph drawing super easy for kids and beginners.
Now, to add some color, you can add a small rectangle under the face – this is going to be the scarf since it’s really cold in the North Pole.
And now, we’ll draw some lines like this in the scarf so that we can add more color to this drawing.
And we are done drawing Rudolph!
Let’s color him now!
I’m going to start by coloring his face a light brown color and I’ll also add 2 blush spots just to make him look more cute.
Then I’ll color the antlers dark brown.
And next, we need to color the nose – the feature Rudolph is most famous for – RED.
Lastly, I’m going to color the scarf. You can use any colors you want but I’m going to go for red and green because they are so Christmasy.
You’ve learned how to draw Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
You can draw this on a Christmas card or a sweet Christmas banner.

Step 2.
Now in this next step you will first draw out the three lines on top of Rudolph’s head for his antlers. Then draw out the shape of his large child like ear. Next make the shape for his large tear drop shaped eye and then a perfect round circle for hi s red nose. You will then need to sketch in the bottom portion of his mouth like his chin, and the front and back parts of his neck. You will end this step by sketching out the shapes of his legs as shown to you here. more
Step 3.
In this thirst step you will shape out and finish Rudolph’s antlers and detail the inside of his large ear. You will draw him a large pupil and then give him a mouth with a smile. Detail the front of his neck with a circle for his patched markings as well as his chest. Continue this step by drawing the lining of his under belly as well as his hind leg, tail and thigh. more
Step 4.
First off you will start this step erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one. Then you will draw out the lining for his back as well as the marking line on his stomach. After you do that you should be all set. Just go over you r finished sketch to make sure everything looks portioned and correct. more
