Step 1

The first step is to draw the body, neck and head outline shape that will serve as our guide shapes for the following steps. The body is shaped like a peanut, with the neck extending up to form the head.

Next we’ll use the guide shapes to draw the outline of the body. Start with the head adding the mouth line and curved line for the cheek. Then add the front leg. Now add the back leg so it’s bent at 45 degrees. Now add the back leg on the far side which is positioned straight down.

Start your stroke at the top of the nose, at the hairline, and draw an avocado-like shape for the lower jawline. This will give you the unicorn nose and jawbone. You can use a uniform line, but you can vary the thickness of the line for more realism.
