Art activity for students | Bat Over The Moon
I created a new art lesson that can be used for Halloween or just studying bats . The theme of the lesson is to create a bat flying over the moon with different types of art mediums while teaching an important art concept of concentric circle patterns in balance.
This project can be done in several ways. You can use different types art mediums such as:
- Paint (watercolor or acrylic)
- Crayons
- Oil Pastels
- Paper
Another fun thing about this art lesson is it’s not just about creating a cute bat. There is a whole lesson on how to introduce concentric circle design. I teach some of the elements and principles of design in this art lesson.
So you can teach ideas about science, zoology and math. There’s of course multiple art concepts included in this art lesson.
You will need to download the bat template, and watch this video demo showing you how I created this lesson.
