As you know, some of our Snow Globe Challenge participants collaborated with us to publish a few articles about their workflows and tips. All 5 articles of this series are available now in our Design category. Check out a short summary below and feel free to leave some kudos to your favorites.

Heimo explains, with a great sense of humor, how he started experimenting with the modelling of a geodesic dome in Archicad back in 2013. He goes on to explore with GDL coding and shares these parametric objects with us. If you enjoy his article, check out the connections section!

Get to know the story behind “Snowy Pasargad”. The Tomb of Cyrus the Great is an important momument for Iranians – yearly celebrations are held around it. Sepideh Kolahi also shares a video in which we can learn how she used the Morph tool to achieve her design.

Kamen Nikolov guides us through the secret files of his Jollification Platform, from concept to visualization. Learn in details how he used Complex Profiles to speed up and refine the modelling of this design.

Bart Cuppens’ design is largely inspired by the Netflix movie “Klaus”. Learn how he used basic Archicad tools and especially PARAM-O to model his cartoonesque design. He was so kind to share with us the complete coding. Enthusiasts of parametric design, check it out!

Andrii Levko shared his inspiration for the Santa’s SPA: modular and tiny houses on wheels. Then, he wrote us a step-by-step guide through his model with 1-3min videos showcasing each tip and trick to achieve such refined, clean model.

How to Draw a Snow Globe

How to Draw a Snow Globe

Draw the head and then make the pear shaped body for your snowman. Sketch in the facial guidelines as well.

Finish drawing the snowman’s body, then draw in the layer of snow that he is standing or planted on.

Lastly, color in six circles for the buttons. Add some falling snow and you are finished once you erase the mistakes.

The line art should come out looking like this. Now all you have to do is color in your snow globe.

Description: If there is one thing I love during the Christmas season is the array of snow globes. I love looking at them, touching them, listening to them, watching the snow or glitter scatter about, and I also love admiring the designs inside the globes. Snow globes are also enjoyed any day of the year. They are typically a collectors favorite because you can always find a snow globe for any occasion. anyways, when you tackle this task for “how to draw a snow globe” you can add whatever you want inside the orb. I will be back with more lessons for you all so try and stay tuned in.
