How to Draw a Whale Step by Step
Especially for beginners, I have created a new exciting lesson on how to draw a whale step by step. You can draw a whale in many ways, and here is a very simple drawing option that is suitable even for a beginner.
The whale is the largest underwater mammal and the largest animal ever to have lived on Earth. There are different types of whales, the largest of which is the blue whale. During exhalation, the whale releases powerful water upwards. This is the fountain you see in the picture.
I hope you were interested in learning some facts about the whale, and you are ready to start drawing. Now take your art supplies and start following all the steps in this instruction sequentially.

How to Draw a Whale Step by Step

Draw the torso. Add the body, which is round on the side of the head and blends into the narrow tail on the other side.
Depict the eye. Approximately in the middle of the body, draw a small oval.
Sketch out the mouth. Draw a smooth rounded line to depict the wide mouth.
Add the bottom fin. Draw the small fin on the belly using curved lines.
Draw the tail. Depict the tail with smooth lines, which consists of two parts.
Depict the fountain. Draw the small free-form fountain on the back of the whale.
Add details. Draw a line from the mouth to the lower fin.
Correct inaccuracies. If you notice mistakes, then correct them at this stage and remove the extra lines.
Color the drawing. You will need black and different shades of blue.

Print our directed drawing template (you can find it at the very end of this tutorial) for kids to use.
Start by drawing a “hill”. Start on the left and finish on the right.
We’ll now draw a whale mouth. Place your pen on the left end of the “hill” and draw a smile.
Draw one whale fin. You can already see a bit of the whale forming can’t you?
Now draw a belly. Start on the right and draw a line to the fin. Continue on the other side of the fin.
Also draw a line to make the tail.
More details! Draw a tail. And another fin. Also draw a blow hole.
And another line for the belly.
Now for the finishing touches. Draw lines on the belly.
And some water coming out of the blowhole.
