How to Unlock the Purple Potato Quest

In order to unlock the ability to unlock the Purple Potato Quest in Dreamlight Valley, you’ll first need to ensure you have completed the following step:
- Unlocked the Golden Potato
Be sure to check out our Golden Potato page to learn how to unlock the Golden Potato. You only need to unlock the Golden Potato, you do not need to complete the entire Golden Potato quest to obtain the Purple Potato or complete the Purple Potato Quest.
Purple Potato Quest Walkthrough
To start the Purple Potato Quest, head to Olaf’s cave in the Frosted Heights region — which is the same cave you discovered during The Great Blizzard Quest.
Inside, you will find the portal in the same spot. Here, you’ll want to interact with the portal.

Upon interacting with the portal, there will be a voice calling out.
You’ll now be tasked to answer and speak words in a particular order. These words can be found throughout the Valley inside 10 different Purple Books.
