Are do a dot pages developmentally appropriate?

Do a dot marker pages aren’t just no-prep fun – they’re beneficial for your child.

Do a dot worksheets can help your child develop skills like their hand-eye coordination, grip strength, finger strength, manual dexterity, and fine motor skills.

This is important because more and more children are entering school with are increasingly poor fine motor skills.

Researchers hypothesize this is because of increased screen time and decreased time for other non-screen activities. One study found that preschooler’s manual dexterity is inversely related to their screen time. In other words, the more screen time a preschooler gets, the worse their manual dexterity is. Screen time is also associated with behavioral problems in preschoolers.

I know that moming is hard and keeping your child busy all day can be incredibly challenging. These do a dot marker pages can give you the break you need without pulling up YouTube. Print an extra set of these pages and have them on standby for when you need to make a phone call (or catch a minute of quiet time to yourself).

Of course, these pages also make a great St. Patrick’s Day activity for your regularly planned homeschool preschool, too. You don’t have to reserve them for “emergency” use only!

How to print and use dab a dot pages

These pages were based on the measurement of my daughter’s Classic Do a Dot Markers.

The circles are perfectly sized for this brand of markers, but they also work fine with other dauber style markers. According to Amazon, I ordered them on May 19, 2019. I haven’t purchased any additional markers – they’re still working fine after more than a year and a half of frequent use.
