After 10 successful & inspiring years in the Ocean Beach, San Diego area, Young At Art Children’s Creative Center is now offering it’s unique, award winning art program for children in McKinney, Texas:

Students enjoy close instruction with a well rounded curriculum to complete their projects in:
Drawing, Painting, Pottery, Sculpture & Crafts.
Young At Art offers a creative oasis, in a unique and comfortable home environment complete with a backyard garden & patio to offer inspiration, and a ceramics area for pottery wheel, hand-sculpting, glazing and kiln firing.
Our teacher-to-student ratio is unbeatable and our staff is comprised of talented and experienced artists. Our Mural Wall is ever changing and always popular, giving young artists additional creative opportunities on a larger scale.

About the Founder:
In 2009 Young At Art was founded and is directed by Kim Howell. She is a mother of 4, professional artist & muralist for over 25 years, and a children’s book illustrator.
She is dedicated to inspiring, encouraging, and providing opportunities to young artists.

Preschool Picassos
Participate in fun activities for preschoolers ages 2-5 years old and an adult helper, held typically on the 2nd and 4th Friday mornings of each month (excluding holidays). Activities are centered around a current Museum exhibition, a famous artist or storybook, or a seasonal or cultural celebration.
Visionarios Youth Art Contest
Visionarios is sponsored by The Port of Corpus Christi and presented by the Art Museum of South Texas. The annual competition is for young artists in grades 1-12 in the Coastal Bend area. Individuals may enter with their parents’ help. Categories include wet media, dry media, digital and photographic media. Students’ artwork is exhibited in the Art Museum galleries, and the winners and their families are recognized at an annual awards presentation and Family Day.
Young Artist Workshop
Typically held on the second Saturday of each, children ages K5-12 years old enjoy an hour and a half studio art class, to explore a variety of art media and techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and photography.
