In this 90-minute oil painting experience, Nemacolin art instructor Samantha Nagy will guide you through creating your own Plein Air masterpiece. From beginners to professionals, artists of all ages are welcome to explore oil painting among the panoramic views of the Laurel Highlands. This is an outdoor class. Please be prepared to wear sun protection and comfortable walking shoes. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be moved to an indoor location with views of the landscape. Guests will be contacted before the class to discuss painting locations. Oil paints dry over a long period of time, and finished paintings will be mailed.
Reservations by advance request $110 per person This class is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Adult parent or guardian must be present for drop-off and pick-up from the session. Smocks are provided, but it is recommended that all guests wear clothes that can get messy.
Plein Air Watercolor Painting

The abundance of beautiful landscape views becomes your inspiration in this 90-minute watercolor painting experience. A Nemacolin art instructor will guide you through creating your own wonderful Plein Air watercolor. This all-levels art class, for beginners to professionals, will explore the seasons of Nemacolin as you create your own landscape imagery. This is an outdoor class, so please be prepared to wear sun protection and comfortable walking shoes. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be moved to an indoor location with views of the landscape. Guests will be contacted before the class to discuss painting locations.

Art Studio (located next to PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor)
Guests of all ages can visit the studio and explore various art projects, such as acrylic painting, jewelry making, watercolors, textiles, and seasonal crafting. The creation possibilities are open and endless! Join us to relax, destress, and experiment at your own pace or participate in a guided art activity led by a Nemacolin art instructor.
